Sedation dentistry

This service involves the use of medication to help you feel relaxed and comfortable during your dental treatments. We offer four types of sedation: nitrous oxide, IV sedation, oral conscious sedation, and general anesthesia.

Nitrous oxide is also called laughing gas and provides a mild form of sedation. Applied to the bloodstream, IV sedation allows for deep relaxation and precision in the administration of sedation levels. Oral conscious sedation involves taking a pill prior to dental treatment. Complete unconsciousness is the result of general anesthesia, which typically involves longer recovery times than do other forms of sedation.  

Crowns

In a major change from traditional crown services requiring two dental visits, we can provide patients with a naturally colored crown in a single appointment. The process of receiving a crown involves preparing the tooth, creating a digital impression, custom creation of the crown, and fitting the crown in place.

Bridges and veneers

Family Dental Health Center offers bridges and veneers, two solutions that can make both a functional and an aesthetic difference. Bridges are for cases of missing teeth, and veneers are to cover existing teeth.

The process for receiving a dental bridge includes a consultation, followed by the preparation of teeth to support the bridge. An impression is then made, and the bride is then created. The completed bridge is then set in place.

A consultation is also part of the veneer treatment process. Enamel will be removed from the tooth, and an impression of the tooth will be made. A veneer ready to be placed will be bonded to the tooth.

Same-day emergencies

Call our office if a dental emergency requires time-sensitive attention. We will make arrangements to provide you with dental treatment. Same-day emergencies may involve ongoing toothaches; dental abscess pain; injuries to the gums, tongue, lips, or other soft tissue; the loss of a filling or crown; and the loss of teeth.
